Former X Factor star Stacey Solomon has revealed her handy packing hack that will free up your jam-packed suitcase while making sure all of your clothes remain neat and compact
With airlines clamping down on hand luggage restrictions, packing for your holiday can sometimes feel like an Olympic sport. If your suitcase is currently full-to-the-brim with clothes, selfie sticks, and sun cream – Stacey Solomon’s cheap hack might just save you from a hefty Ryanair fine.
The TV presenter turned cleaning enthusiast recently took to the Primark Kids Instagram account to demonstrate how to keep all your clothes tidy and compact, while de-bulking your suitcase. All you need is a hanging wardrobe organiser, which you can pick up for just £7.99.
Stacey uses the item to plan her children’s outfits for each day and night of their holiday, showing how easy it is to fold them up neatly in each separate compartment and save packing space. You can then fold the organiser into your suitcase, which means when you arrive at your hotel – all you need to do is pull out the organiser and hang it up in the wardrobe.
The celeb raved about the hack, declaring that she will ‘never not pack like this now’. While she showed off this method primarily for kids’ gear, adults can easily adopt it for their small wears like swimwear and undergarments, reports OK!.
Granted, the compartments might not fit your flowy maxi dress or chunky sandals you’ve bought for those fancy rooftop cocktail bars, but for simple t-shirts and bikinis – it works a treat. If you’re guilty of overpacking and not planning your outfits, this hack is perfect for you.

For those after a tad more space in their suitcase organisers, Antler is currently selling £50 packing cubes, which shoppers have hailed as “a great buy”. This four-piece lineup is just the ticket for dividing threads from delicates, plus staving off those pesky excess baggage fees.
Amazon joins the fray with its hanging packing cubes priced at £34.88, blending the best of both worlds. Similar to Stacey’s trick, they too can transform into a hanging shelf upon arrival, and their generous sizing is more suited to larger suitcases or the extensive wardrobes needed for long getaways.
