After 15 years of marriage, a wife has been left devastated by her husband confession of his affair but she is not broken by the affair but by who the affair was with
A woman has been left destroyed after the partner she has been with for a little over 15 years confessed to having an affair with his cousin.
Maria and Antonio have been married for over a decade and while the confession of the affair itself was shocking to Maria, it wasn’t wasn’t what impacted her the most. The biggest blow came when Maria realised her husband had been cheating on her with his family member.
Following the affair, Antonio’s cousin sadly died in a car accident, which led Antonio feeling depressed acting “a lot less like himself.” He knew it was time to come clean to his wife and tell her everything.
Sharing her concerns with social media, Maria said: “Tonight, when I got home from work, [Antonio] had our two kids go spend the night at his mother’s place and he had made us dinner” the Express.co.uk reports. “After dinner, he sat me down and told me that I needed to prepare myself for what he was going to say. He then proceeded to tell me about his affair… with his cousin.”
Maria revealed what her husband confessed to him by added “To sum some things up he essentially had been doing sexual things with his cousin since she ‘seduced’ him when she 13 and he was 16. These sexual activities went on through their adulthood up until he started to date me.”
Whether a mercy or a detail she didn’t need to know Maria’s husband Antonio confessed that “things didn’t happen between him and his cousin” for the first four years of his marriage to Maria.
However things did start up again, Antonia told Maria his cousin convinced him. She wrote: “She supposedly convinced him to continue their sexual activities on the side. This has continued up until three weeks ago, as you can imagine.”
Flabbergasted, Maria was told she could do whatever she liked with the information she just received. Maria’s husband told her he’d accept whatever decision she said: “He told me to take it as I will and he’ll accept anything I choose to do considering our marriage.”
In her post Maria said: “His cousin was a lot more than just some sex fling.” Maria added that “never expected” her husband to cheat, let alone with his blood relative.
She added: “He never did anything that would give it red flags like coming in late or leaving the hair of another woman around. I’m at a standstill and not sure where to go from here.”
She concluded: “I haven’t been able to say anything to him after he was so blunt about it.”
Asking the Reddit group she posted in to help her Maria confessed that she had been “crying”. However, the advice was short and swift, people advised Maria file for divorce.
Maria updated people on the situation in an update to the post and said: “I want to first say that I appreciate all of the support I’ve received after posting my first post. It’s been really hard to swallow all of this and I’m looking for a lawyer now to help with a divorce.”
