Situated near the coast, Bristol has earned the title of the UK’s fish and chips capital, as certified by Betway’s research. After considering a variety of factors such as vegan alternatives, menu options and social media buzz, Betway declared Bristol the clear winner with a score of 60.6 out of 80.
This vibrant city has long been renowned for its delectable fish dishes, owing to its close proximity to the Bristol Channel, and over time it has evolved into a prime coastal location boasting a diverse culinary scene with a rich seafood heritage.
Bristol’s “chippies” were also praised for their “Instagrammable” aesthetics and an impressive array of 149 scrumptious options, reports the Express.
