Queen Camilla’s calm stability amid devastating recent health news including both Charles and Kate battling cancer has led to renewed appreciation from Prince William, according to an expert

Queen Camilla’s dedication to keeping the country’s nerves calm amid King Charles III and the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnoses has led Prince William to conclude she is exactly what the Royal Family needs right now, an expert has said.

The Queen Consort’s positive drive helped maintain stability within the Royal Family as both her husband and step-daughter-in-law paused engagements in order to focus on their respective cancer treatments.

Her playful approach in the face of the King’s devastating health update was on full display during engagements in Northern Ireland last week where she joked she tries to “keep him in order.”

During her visit, Camilla met with business owners and staff where there was an emphasis on local produce and favourite foods.

Camilla’s calm consistency helped strengthen her once-strained relationship with son-in-law Prince William. Her relationship with then Prince Charles had been controversial due to his marriage to Princess Diana.

“Camilla is as stoic as she is forgiving,” Royal expert, editor of Majesty Magazine and author of My Mother & I Ingrid Seward exclusively told the Mirror. “Kate’s illness has brought her closer to William who once disliked her intensely. Even up to her marriage to his father, both William and Harry begged ‘pa’ not to marry Camilla. Thank goodness he did.

“Her cheerfulness and her open-hearted approach to people and events are exactly what the monarchy needs right now. William can see that and he must be very grateful to her. Not only is she keen on keeping his father calm but she is, in her way, keeping the country calm too. Always smiling and giving a cheery report on the progress of Charles and her stepdaughter-in-law. She is exactly what we all need right now.”

Photos showed William and Camilla walking shoulder to shoulder during the Commonwealth Service earlier this month – hinting at their strong bond.

Camilla has continued to undertake royal engagements on Charles’ behalf after he revealed he was suffering from cancer. The Royal Family was also dealt another blow when Kate said on Friday that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy after cancer had been found during a successful abdominal surgery.

A statement released by Buckingham Palace following Kate’s announcement said: “His Majesty is so proud of Catherine for speaking as she did. His Majesty has remained in the closest contact with his beloved daughter-in-law. Both Their Majesties will continue to offer their love and support to the family at this time.”
