Celebrated former daytime television duo Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, despite not sharing the screen any longer, have put together a notable £12m property empire.

Even though Judy has stepped back from regular TV appearances, opting out of joining Richard while he presents Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid, they still consider themselves very much a team.

Judy shared her feelings on their relationship enduring through their career decisions during an appearance on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast, noting: “I think working together for so long has bonded us more tightly than if we had two completely separate jobs.

“When [Richard] does GMB, I’m still here in bed, I’m happy to stay when he gets up, it doesn’t make any difference at all to our relationship.”

Richard also reflected on this change, observing: “We were bonded in our professional lives together, and now we’re not, but actually, here on the inside, we still are. I suppose we’re a bit semi-detached, but we’re not detached in the way that it might seem to outsiders.”

Since uniting both personally and professionally over four decades ago, Richard and Judy achieved esteemed success in the broadcasting world, which has translated into an enviable property collection reported to include five lavish homes around the world, currently valued at roughly £12 million, reports Cornwall Live.

The couple’s primary residence is believed to be their Barnet property in London, bought in the late ’90s for an estimated £1.2million, although its value has undoubtedly risen since then.

When they’re not in London, the couple relish their escapes to a Cornwall holiday home. They reportedly snapped up the cottage for £190,000, and it’s nestled within six acres of land in Talland Bay, known as their “spiritual home”.

It boasts sea views, four bedrooms and even comes with its own private swimming pool and conservatory.

For a dash of continental chic, Richard and Judy also have a villa on the Côte d’Azur near Cannes.

Purchased in 2004 for a cool £1 million, this Mediterranean haven features a sun-drenched swimming pool, seclusion and breathtaking vistas, making it the perfect summer retreat for the pair.

The allure of Florida has also captured Richard and Judy’s hearts, where they are said to own two properties.

Their love affair with the Sunshine State began with a family holiday to Disney World in Orlando, leading them to buy a luxury three-bedroom complex in Buttonwood Bay.

Richard’s affection for Florida’s balmy climes is evident, with MailOnline reporting that he acquired another property in the same region back in 1998.

Good Morning Britain is on ITV1 weekdays at 6am and ITVX
