A man has shared his disgust after his sister refused to attend their serial killer father’s funeral as she doesn’t want to be associated with such a monster – but he believes they must attend because he’s their father
A man’s chilling confession about his serial killer father has sent shivers down people’s spines, as many question whether he might take the same route in life. In a concerning Reddit post, the anonymous man describes how his late father was “semi-famous” in his local area in the late 1980s to early 1990s as a murderer.
He says his father was “kind to him 70% of the time” – and always provided for the family. He said: “My father died right before New Year’s. He passed away from natural causes while incarcerated and serving a life sentence. His next parole hearing was in less than a year but he suffered from lung cancer (smoker) and he also had a hip injury last October which at 70 can lead to complications.
“My father was a provider to a family of three kids, my mother never had to work. He paid for my sister’s wedding. He paid for my brother’s braces and dental work all out of pocket.” Upon his death, his sister refused to attend his funeral, saying she didn’t want to be associated with such a monster.

However, the son saw this as a major insult to his father and claimed she should have paid her respects to him, especially because he paid for her wedding. Seeking advice online, he added: “I feel very angry about this. I realize she is an adult but I also feel like she is being childish and over dramatic and extremely hurtful to not just me but my elderly mother who has lost the will to live.
“I want to tell her to give back the money the monster paid for your wedding since you think that.” However, rather than provide him with advice on how to handle this situation with his sister, many users questioned the man’s mindset.
One user said: “This person seems bizarrely proud of the fact that their dad was a literal murderer.” Another user added: “He idolised him, and is proud of not feeling empathy. The dude’s gonna be at least as vile as his daddy.” A third user said: “I tried to keep an open mind until I saw “semi-famous as a murderer” and I’m just. What?”
