Boden has kicked off its huge summer sale, and we’ve spotted a pair of linen trousers that are perfect for staying cool in the warmer months with £40 off
Linen trousers are a summer wardrobe staple thanks to their natural breathability and versatility. They can be worn for so many different occasions, from beach trips to office days and alfresco dinners. And we’ve just found the perfect pair of office-appropriate trousers in the Boden sale.
The Westbourne Crop Linen Trousers were originally priced at £98, but thanks Boden’s massive summer sale, the Oatmeal colourway are now £58.80 – that’s a huge £40 saving!
Boden’s Westbourne trousers are one of their most popular products, and now they’re available in linen, they’re the perfect pair to keep you cool in warmer weather. They’ve got the same flattering, wide-leg shape that shoppers love, now just in a lighter, more breathable fabric.
This pair sit naturally at the waist, and fall just above the ankle thanks to the cropped fit, making them perfect to wear with sandals or trainers.
Whether you’re styling these with a simple t-shirt or dressing them up for the office with a button-up shirt, they’re perfect for throwing on when you don’t know what to wear.

And shoppers have been praising them for their smart look, and flattering fit. One customer wrote: “I love the cut of these trousers. I bought them as I already have the Westbourne trousers but the cropped are different insofar as the leg width at the hem is slightly narrower. I actually like this as they’re cropped and I think they look smarter than wide legs. I bought the navy in a size 10 regular as I didn’t want them too cropped. I’m 5’3 and they sit just above the ankle. They fit perfectly.”
A second added: “These are a perfect length and fit for me, sit just on my ankle. Lovely soft linen, hangs beautifully, beautiful colour.”
Not all shoppers were happy however, with one criticising the fit for curvier figures. They wrote: “Thinner fabric than expected especially for the price and just cut all wrong for an hourglass figure and i’m only a 10. Fitted on the waist tight around bottom and top of legs and i’m really not that curvy. If you are a straight up and down these will be great for you.”
If you’re on the lookout for more linen trousers, I tested out five different pairs in order to find my perfect fit and shape. Considering the affordable £23 price tag (and now even less at £18 in the ASOS sale), I was really surprised with the fit and quality of this Bershka pair.
They fit me the best in terms of leg length and around the waist. I love the neutral sand colour, and they’re also available to purchase in three other colours: white, black, and a spring-ready pale pink.
Additonally, the barrel leg silhouette is the trendiest trouser shape of the season, and I love how the shape of this ASOS pair added a stylish twist.
