One man who describes himself as the ‘UK’s Number 1 Carnivore Diet Coach’ and often shares his tips about following the diet online has revealed the huge steak, egg and lamb breakfast he often likes to eat
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to what they have for breakfast. Someone people like a simple bowl of cereal, while others opt for toast or maybe something like a croissant. However, one man who follows a carnivore diet has revealed the staggering protein-rich breakfast he often likes to have.
Cam, known as @coachcarnivorecam on TikTok, describes himself as the ‘UK’s Number 1 Carnivore Diet Coach’ and often shares his tips about following the diet online with his 380,000 followers.
And in one of his recent videos he shared the hearty breakfast he sometimes has, which includes 20oz of ribeye steak, 10 fried eggs and two high-fat lamb loin chops.
Despite calling it his ‘breakfast’, Cam revealed he had the meal – which was his only one of the day – at 5pm.
This clip starts with Cam showing off his huge ‘breakfast’ on a serving board as he nods his head and points at it.
Overlay text reads: “This is the best breakfast you’ll ever eat and it’s my first and only meal of the day.
“It’s 5pm, I’ve got 20oz of ribeye steak cooked bang on, 10 fried eggs with those runny yolks and two high-fat lamb loin chops, all cooked in beef tallow and butter.”
He adds: “This meal gives you the essential nutrients you need to feel your best. It’s rich in bioavailable protein, cholesterol and saturated fat, which can help optimise your health and keep you satiated and fuelled properly and if you focus on eating more animal foods like this that we are designed to eat, you will start thriving.”
Despite Cam’s claims, Healthine has shared a warning about the diet, stating: “No controlled studies support claims that the carnivore diet can help eliminate health issues. It lacks beneficial nutrients, including fibre and plant compounds like antioxidants. It may be unsafe for some people.”
What is the Carnivore Diet?
People following the carnivore diet only eat meat and animal products, excluding all other foods.
The diet supposedly aids weight loss, helps mood issues, and blood sugar regulation, among other health issues.
However, the diet is extremely restrictive and likely unhealthy in the long-term, according to the experts at Healthline.
Their website states: “The carnivore diet eliminates all foods except meat and animal products. Thus, it’s low in vitamin c, folate, has no fibre, and is difficult to maintain. You should follow a well-rounded diet instead.”
The NHS also debunks Cam’s claims about saturated fat, stating on its website: “Too much fat in your diet, especially saturated fats, can raise your cholesterol, which increases the risk of heart disease.
“Current UK government guidelines advise cutting down on all fats and replacing saturated fat with some unsaturated fat.”
