A pair of Met cops have been canned for making homophobic, racist and sexist remarks to fellow officers.
PCs Ben Jeffries and Wayne Samson, working on the North West Command, made multiple vile remarks to colleagues while on duty, including Jeffries sending a colleague an solicited picture of his genitals in August 2021.
In November that year Sansom performed an offensive act towards a colleague.
The duo had a nine-day hearing, which ended earlier today (Thursday, July 3). It found that both officers were guilty of the accusations and were fired for gross misconduct and will now both be added to the Barred List held by the College of Policing.
These breaches amounted to gross misconduct. Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams, who leads policing for the North West Command, said: “The actions and comments made by both PC Jeffries and PC Samson were disgusting, wholly inappropriate and fell far below the standards expected of Met police officers.
“It is right they have been dismissed. I would encourage our staff to continue to report any wrongdoing so that we can take action.”
