Next week, SATs results will be released to schools. Year 6 students took the exams in May this year, and results will be sent to schools on Tuesday (July 8).
Unlike GCSE or A-Level results, it’s up to each individual school as to when they release the results to their students and their parents. Often though, there isn’t long to wait and results will be communicated to parents by the end of the school year later in July.
While we wait, we thought it would be the perfect time to have a little quiz of our own. We’ve put together a few SATs questions for you to try out yourself at home.
We’ve compiled the following quiz using questions from past KS1 and KS2 tests. Try your hand at 10 sample questions below, some of which are targeted at children as young as six years old.
You don’t have to disclose your score (no pressure), but we’ve included multiple choice answers even though students don’t always get these options.
Interestingly, the average score for adults taking these tests is less than 50%, implying that most adults would score below expectations in their KS2 SATs if they were to sit them today.
