A 44-year-man was stabbed during an alleged mugging in Maida Vale last night (July 10). Police rushed to the junctions of Harrow Road and Windsor Gardens just after 7pm following reports someone was being robbed.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man with multiple injuries. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment.

His condition has since been confirmed as neither life-changing nor life-threatening by the Metropolitan Police. The force is now investigating the shocking incident but is yet to make an arrest in connection.

Pictures taken at the scene last night show a large cordon in front of the Windsor Estate, with multiple police officers standing guard.

It comes a day after a man lost his life in similar circumstances outside a Knightsbridge hotel. Detectives are exploring whether 24-year-old Blue Stevens was murdered during an attempt to steal his designer watch.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers responded to reports of a robbery of a man in Windsor Gardens, W9 at 19:15hrs on Thursday, 10 July. A 44-year-old man was treated at the scene for stab wounds and was later taken to hospital for further observation.

“His injuries have confirmed to be non-life-threating or life-changing. No arrests have been made at this time. Enquiries continue.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.07pm yesterday (10 July) to reports of an injured person in Harrow Road, W9. We sent an ambulance crew and two paramedics in fast response cars to the scene.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting 7232/10JUL.
