Brent street attack leaves man fighting for his life as police hunt attacker

A man is fighting for his life after being seriously injured in an attack in North West London. Met Police officers were alerted to man found collapsed along the Brent stretch of Harrow Road late at night yesterday (Saturday, July 19).

Officers found the victim at the scene around 11pm and rushed him to A&E where he is currently in a life-threatening condition. There have been no arrests at this stage of the investigation on Sunday afternoon (July 20) as police search for the attacker responsible.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 10.57pm on Saturday, July 19, with reports of a man collapsed in Brent. Officers called the assistance of London Ambulance Service at Harrow Road where a man had been seriously injured after being assaulted.

“He remains in a life-threatening condition. No arrests have as yet been made. Enquiries continue. Please call police on 101 with the reference 8098/19Jul if you have any information. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit crimestoppers-uk.org.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.53pm on Saturday, July 19, to reports of an incident on Harrow Road, Brent.

“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer. Our crews treated one patient before taking them to hospital.”
