Oasis fans think they spotted a moment at a recent gig that hints Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher missed performing with each other. The Gallagher brothers came together for their first performances in 16 years, launching their Live ’25 tour in Cardiff this month. The brothers will play four nights at Wembley in London on July 25, July 26, July 30 and August 2.

Those who attended the completely sold-out Cardiff and Manchester concerts have since observed that Liam and Noel appeared thrilled to be back on stage as a duo. A post to the r/Oasis Reddit forum saw a supporter express their views on how the brothers seemed to be savouring their time performing together once more.

Oasis recently completed their final Manchester performance, with the string of sold-out gigs at Heaton Park being warmly received by attendees.

Even those who failed to secure tickets for the concert said they relished the occasion, perching atop “Gallagher hill” and viewing the performance from an elevated spot beyond the venue boundaries.

The Reddit post reads: “I feel as if Noel missed this a lot more than he admitted earlier on. Was at Heaton Park on Saturday, one of the many things I took away from that special night was how much Noel was loving it.

“I can understand the first few years with the High Flying Birds post break up. But he repeatedly gave the ‘been there, done that, don’t need to do it again’ speech in response to comeback rumours through the years.

“I don’t know, I’m no mind reader but I think deep down, he really, really missed doing shows like this as ‘Oasis’ all along.”

A fan expressed sheer delight at witnessing the performance, adding: “I absolutely loved to watch how much he enjoyed it, it just added to how epic the night was. I wish I could experience that all over again.”

Another enthusiast pointed out a telling moment during the Cardiff concert, suggesting it revealed Gallagher’s longing for the old days with his brother and Oasis bandmates. They commented: “His face during Slide Away in Cardiff said it all.”

This has led fans to speculate that the brothers might be so thrilled with their live shows that they could consider hitting the studio for a new album, their first since “Dig Out Your Soul.”

One hopeful fan speculated: “I really do wonder if a new album would be in the works after the tour ends.”

Echoing this sentiment, another chimed in: “I think so. I don’t think this reformation was ever going to be a one-off thing unless him and Liam didn’t get on, and they’re loving it. Someone like Noel and someone like Liam can’t resist making new music, and with them together again it’s inevitable.”

Despite no official plans for a new album and management previously dismissing the idea, the buzz among listeners is that Oasis might just surprise everyone with a return to the recording booth.

An optimistic listener suggested: “Even if a new album wasn’t planned, I bet he’s thinking about it now. But I think it’s better if they just take one step at a time: let’s finish the tour well (something I have no doubt will happen), and then we’ll see.”
