After everything that’s happened – from the fallout over Harry’s revelatory book to shipping his family off to California – would you like to see the Sussexes back in the Royal fold? Or do you think they’ve moved too far beyond the palace gates?
After the never-ending drama, the thought of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rejoining the Royal Family is practically unthinkable – but we want to know if you’d like to see it happen.
The Duke of Sussex has long been at loggerheads with The Firm, particularly his father King Charles and brother Prince William, who he’s said to no longer be on speaking terms with.
It’s now more than five years since Harry and wife Meghan stepped down from their roles as royals and moved to Canada and later California where they now live with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Already strained relations were then further exacerbated by Harry’s 2023 tell-all memoir, Spare, which railed against his father and William and told of what he felt it was like to play second fiddle to his sibling.

But now, with so much water under the bridge, there’s still a case to be made for reconciliation. For some, seeing Harry – once the most popular member of the family – back in a more formal role would put him ‘back where he belongs’. While Meghan brought a sense of modernity and global interest that briefly felt like a shift toward a more inclusive monarchy. Their return might help the Royal Family appear more united and in touch with a changing world.
Perhaps you’d like to see the family reunited for no other reason than it just feels right. Families falling out – particularly so publicly – is never nice to watch. So the idea of them restoring relationships certainly carries some emotional appeal.
But Harry and Meghan left the fold for deeply personal reasons – largely reported as a lack of support, mental health struggles and, in their view, a rigid institution that didn’t adapt to who they were. Given everything the pair have said publicly – through interviews, their Netflix series, and Harry’s memoir – returning would doubtless be difficult.
So much time has passed that it simply wouldn’t be a case of just picking up where they left off. There would have to be a level of compromise and trust that just looks a little unlikely at this point.
There’s also the question of whether a formal return would benefit either side. The Royal Family has moved forward, focusing on a slimmed-down structure. While Harry and Meghan have carved out their own path in the US, focusing on media, philanthropy, and independent projects.
