A teenage girl was reportedly “raped” on a footpath near a golf club in Crayford on Monday evening (August 4). Police are appealing to the public to help in their investigations.
The girl reported being raped on a footpath off Perry Street, in Crayford, which is not far from the Barnehurst Golf Course at just after 5pm. Police attended the scene and spoke with the victim, who is still being supported by specialist officers.
No arrests have yet been made but police enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to get in contact with police.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “At around 17:05hrs on Monday, August 4 police responded to reports of a rape on a footpath off Perry Street, Crayford. Officers attended the scene and spoke with the victim, a teenage girl.
“She continues to be supported by specialist officers. Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at the stage.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101 or online, quoting CAD 5741/04AUG. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or by submitting an online form.”
