Passengers travelling on the London Underground faced severe delays while the emergency services dealt with a major incident, with an air ambulance flown to assist a casualty on the tracks. The District line experienced major delays across the entire line following the incident at Turnham Green Station.
Passenger aboard the service posted that Turnham Green Station was “closed due to emergency”, with footage showing a helicopter descend near the station at around 10.58am. The delays eased throughout the day.
