Argos is now stocking new Sky Glass-style TVs that allow you to stream live and on-demand content without paying a penny for the privilege.
Sky’s clever Glass TV offers a seamless way to tune into content without the need for a dish drilled into your walls. This streaming screen, which is currently reduced in price, uses the internet to whizz sports, entertainment and movies to the 4K display and it’s that hassle-free setup that’s made it such a popular option for UK homes. The only issue with Sky Glass is that it does cost more (ÂŁ26 per month) to add extra things to watch which means monthly bills can start to rack up.
That’s not the case with Freely which, as the name suggests, is totally free to use. This latest streaming platform launched last month with it boasting features such as a full TV planner, the option to pause live telly and full recommendations on things to watch. There’s even the ability to see what’s and now next via the neat Mini Guide which pops up at the bottom of the screen.
If the thought of streaming live telly for free sounds enticing, there’s a whole bunch of TVs that now feature Freely built-in and they appear to be proving popular.
Argos, which has also just announced some price cuts to these latest TVs, is showing that some of its Freely screens are currently “in demand” and “selling fast.”
