Arsenal wonderkid Chido Obi-Martin will reportedly decide on his future by the end of this week with Bayern Munich said to be keen on his signature.
The Gunners are believed to have offered the 16-year-old a new scholarship deal after an astonishing final few months of the academy season. The forward netted in each of his final nine Premier League 2 games this season, a run that included a seven-goal haul against Norwich City.
He ended up with an incredible tally of 32 goals in 18 youth league matches before, scoring four or more in a single match on five occasions. Obi-Martin went on to score twice for Denmark at the under-17 European Championships within the last month, meaning he has scored 10 times in 14 outings for the age group.
It also signals that the attacker ended up scoring 43 goals in 42 youth matches across the last season. His form is thought to have attracted the attention of Bayern with the Germans admirers of Obi-Martin, who joined from FC Copenhagen’s academy in 2022.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that the youngster – who has already featured for Arsenal’s under-21s – will decide his future by the end of June, which concludes this Sunday.
Reports from elsewhere earlier this month said Obi-Martin Bayern were advancing in talks after discussions with Arsenal hit the buffers, while Borussia Dortmund also attain interest.

“I would like to stay at Arsenal for a long time,” Obi-Martin said in May. “It’s a good club, I can feel that I’m getting much better in training. There are a lot of good people and good coaches, so I’m really happy to be there.
“Maybe I will have to play permanently at Under-21 from next season. There aren’t that many strikers in the squad so it will be a good opportunity for me. Arsenal is a club that gives young talents the opportunity to play.”
