Bank customers could get hundreds of pounds in payments
Bank account holders have been urged to note two key deadlines coming up this month. The Autumn Budget is coming up on November 26, which could include major updates for savers, with rumours there could be changes to ISAs and other allowances.
But people may also want to note two other dates coming up that same week – especially as you could get some extra cash paid into your account. Barclays is offering a range of payments if you’ll move over your savings to them, with up to £900 on offer. You can get the extra payments when switching either your current account or your ISA savings over to Barclays.
You can get a £200 payment when switching to a Barclays Bank Account and signing up for Blue Rewards, or £400 if you’ll move to a Premier Account. You need to open the account and request the current account switch in the Barclays app.

Your switch needs to include at least two direct debits and you have to pay in a certain amount into your new account: at least £2,000 for the Barclays Bank Account offer and at least £4,000 if you go for the Premier Account.
The switch must be completed and the minimum deposit paid in within 30 days of requesting your switch. You can also get up to £500 in bonus cash for switching your ISA funds over to Barclays.
This needs to be done using Barclays’ ISA transfer-in service. The key deadlines to note are that for the current account switch offers, you need to start your full switch by Thursday, November 27. To get the ISA payment, you need to request the transfer by Friday, November 28.
When will I get my Barclays bonus payments?
For the £200 or £400 current account switch payments, these will be paid into your new account within 28 working days of your meeting the eligibility requirements. You will get a text from Barclays once you’ve met all the criteria.
The cash payment will show on your statement as ‘Switch Reward’. The CASS offer can only be used once per person. For the ISA bonus, you need to have a current account open with Barclays, as this is where you will receive the cash.
