BBC Weather forecasters are predicting a mini-heatwave of sorts to hit the capital. This news will be most welcome following on from the dreary weather we’ve had so far in 2024.
Between today (June 1) and Friday, June 14, thermostats will be bouncing between 18C and 23C. It won’t always be solid, summer sun, but at least it will be warm enough to venture out in t-shirts, and possibly even shorts at times.
This will be most welcome for the majority of us who lapped up the rays earlier in May. The rest of June is likely to be similar to the first two weeks, according to the BBC ’s long range forecast.

It reads: “It is probable that a continuation of variable, slow moving weather patterns are likely through much of June, with high pressure becoming more dominant from the west late on. Temperatures are most likely to be around or above normal.”
