Warmer days are ahead for Londoners missing the capital’s hot spells, with temperatures of up to 26C predicted by BBC Weather in June. The soaring mercury is also set to be accompanied by clear, sunny skies following over a week of cloudiness.
The run of clouds can be seen from Wednesday, May 28, when sunny intervals with a gentle breeze can be seen throughout the day, hitting highs of 21C. This will be followed on Thursday, May 29, by periods of light rain as temperatures rise to 22C.
Sunny skies could then make an appearance on Friday evening, May 30, alongside some 24C heat.
The mercury will then climb further to an impressive 25C the next day on Saturday, May 31.
The clouds are expected to stay from this point, with Sunday, June 1, showing little signs of clear skies after the morning for the rest of the day. This outlook is repeated for Monday, June 2, as both days are set to hit temperature highs of 21C.
Slightly thicker clouds can be seen on Tuesday, June 3, as similar temperatures of 20C are expected. Light showers can then be seen throughout Wednesday, June 4, before a stretch of sunshine in the evening.
Light rain is possible through all of Thursday, June 5, as temperatures begin a slow ascent over the weekend from 22C.
A sunny morning and evening can be expected on Friday, June 6, on either side of a day of clouds and temperatures of 23C.
Clear skies are to make their long-awaited return on Saturday, June 7, while the mercury sticks at a comfortable 23C.
The warm weather is then set to meet its full extent on Sunday, June 8, with a 26C outlook over the day.
Similar temperatures and sunshine can also be expected on Monday, June 9, allowing Londoners to make the most of summer in the city.
