Viewers tuning in to BBC News at 10pm last night were treated to a surprise twist during the weather-one that could’ve come straight out of a horror film, rather than a music festival forecast.

As seasoned meteorologist Tomasz Schafernaker launched into a cheery segment about Glastonbury Festival’s upcoming weather, he made a silly gaff. With a confident smile, he began: “I think Mother Nature is going to be kind to Glastonbury-goers. No blood bath-mud bath even. Definitely mud.” Cue a brief, stunned silence before Schafernaker, ever the professional, smoothed over the mix-up and powered on.

Thankfully, for Glasto festival-goers, the only thing raining down on Worthy Farm this weekend will be sunshine and the occasional breeze. No buckets of rain, just bucket hats.
