London is set for a day of glorious sunshine this weekend but the mixed weather is sadly going to return
After a hot and dry summer with new fewer than four heatwaves, a spate of showers over the past week will have come as a welcome relief to some Londoners. This morning (Thursday, September 4) will see a return of heavy rainfall for commuters, with precipitation as high as 90 per cent as commuters make their way to work.
The rain will stay until lunchtime and then gradually fade away. Temperatures will be stable today, reaching a peak of 19C by late afternoon, according to BBC Weather. Tomorrow (Friday) is set to be a dry and cloudy day with some sunny intervals and light winds, with mercury rising to 21C by 4pm.
But London can look forward to a day of pure sunshine on Saturday, September 6, with temperature hitting a maximum of 23C by mid-afternoon and staying in the 20s right through until this evening.
While Saturday promises to yield a day of pleasant of sunshine for the first half of the weekend, unfortunately rain is expected to read its head again on Sunday – with light showers breaking out in the morning and lasting throughout the day until around 7pm when the rain will gradually dissipate.
Rain will linger on through most of next week, with light showers on Monday and gradually increase to heavier rainfall on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before dropping off at the weekend. Temperatures next week will be mild, with most days having peaks of 18C or 19C.
