Much like how beauty advent calendars have skyrocketed in popularity for the festive season for their money-saving price tags and lust-worthy contents, springtime shoppers are finding themselves ditching chocolate eggs in favour of those containing high end makeup and skincare this Easter.
Retailers such as Lookfantastic and Glossybox announced their Easter offerings early on, containing brands like Elemis, Iconic and Elf, with Boots launching theirs a little later in the month.
Whether you’re planning to give someone a beauty Easter haul this March, or simply want to snap up masses of reduced price products, some of which are even full-sized, we’ve taken a look at the latest launches to see how much they cost, how much they save, and what exactly you’ll find inside to help you find which one you fancy cracking open on March 31.

Lookfantastic has brought back its popular Beauty Egg after seven sell-out years in a row. And after taking a peek at the contents this year, we can expect 2024 to follow suit.
This year, the contents of the egg is worth more than ever before at £206 and contains the likes of returning high end brands Sol De Janeiro and ELEMIS as well as names like Anastasia Beverly Hills, Caudalie and Medik8.
The limited edition beauty edit will give shoppers seven products in total – five full size items and two deluxe sized – and comes in a luxury gold-dipped egg-shaped container that can be reused time and again for storing your skincare and make-up for future.
The 2024 Beauty Egg costs just £60 for non subscribers of the Lookfantastic monthly subscription service (£50 for members), which is just £6 more than one of the products inside alone.

Glossybox Beauty Egg 2024
Also bringing back their coveted Glossybox – and one product is worth £10 more than the price you pay for the whole haul.
The egg contains 12 beauty products including brands like Elemis, E.L.F and Iconic, with a retail value of over £167.
Coming in a sparkling lilac egg complete with a dusky pink ribbon, it’s the ultimate alternative to chocolate for the beauty obsessed this Easter.
The hero product inside this beauty egg has to be the Elemis Pro-Collagen Morning Matrix 15ml, which is worth £50 alone – almost £10 more than you pay for the egg, essentially making everything else completely free.

One of the latest to launch, health and beauty retailer Boots is offering shoppers the chance to get their hands on over £100 worth of free beauty and skincare products. with their beauty Easter egg.
Released Friday, March 22, the highly anticipated beauty egg costs £45, jnside which shoppers will find 11 beauty treats from renowned and beloved brands like Liz Earle and No7, alongside new and trending products from REM, Dr Jart, Sol De Janiero and more.
Among them is the Iconic London Illuminator Original Highlighter, which counts the likes of Khloe Kardashian and Jourdan Dunn as fans. The intensely pigmented champagne-toned shimmer highlighter usually costs £32, and can be added to your foundation, primer or moisturiser, or simply used on its own for a super highlighted glow.
Beauty fans will also find a high-shine nail polish from No7, as well as a brown liquid liner from Stila to create a soft cat eye. Fragrance lovers will have the chance to stock back up on Sol De Janeiro’s Cheirosa 62, while it also presents the perfect opportunity to discover what all the hype is about around Ariana Grande’s beauty brand with the REM Cheek & Blush Stick, worth £20.

Rituals Beauty Egg 2024
If you love indulgent bathing and scented products, luxury bath and body brand, Rituals have the perfect egg for you. Priced at £37.50, there are two different gift sets to choose from, each containing three luxury fragranced bath and body products.
Each egg contains a pampering body care routine for the Spring season. The sets are scented in some of Rituals’ fan-favourite fragrances, including Ritual of Sakura (rice milk and cherry blossom) and Ritual of Karma (white tea and lotus flower).
Available at Lookfantastic and Rituals, the Ritual Of Sakura Easter Egg Gift Set contains a hand balm worth £12.90, foaming shower gel, usually £9.90 and hair and body mist, worth £20.90. The total value of the mini routine is worth £43.70, so while the savings aren’t quite as lucrative, the contents are still incredibly indulgent and will last long after Easter is over.
Meanwhile, the Ritual of Karma gift set contains the same products in its corresponding fragrance, but is exclusive to the Rituals website here.
L’Occitane Beauty Egg 2024
Providing the widest choice variety for shoppers this year is L’Occitane, with not one, not two, but four beauty egg launches this year – but like Rituals, their price to value ratio isn’t quite as big as some of the others available.
There are three beauty eggs priced at £18.50 each, with a value of £22.50, saving around £4 on the contents, while a ‘premium’ egg comes in at £25, worth £30. The latter contains just two products, an Almond Shower Oil 250ml and Almond Delicious Hands 30ml – two of the brand’s most popular bestsellers.
For those looking for something a little cheaper though, there are Almond, Cherry Blossom and Shea Butter eggs available at the lower price of £18.50, each one containing a shower product, body product and hand product in their respective fragrance.

Lush Happy Egg Gift Set
Lush has announced the return of its much-loved Easter collection, packed with an array of colourful and novelty greetings, from shimmering golden eggs to a citrus-scented Alien Bunny.
Their £38 Happy Egg gift doesn’t necessarily save money, but contains limited edition and exclusive products you won’t be able to get your hands on otherwise – perfect for the Lush-obsessed.
Packed inside a reusable tin are five sweet and fruity treats including the Golden Egg shower gel, exclusive Conga shower jelly, and Rock Star Rabbit soap, as well as the Golden Egg bath bomb melt and Rainbow bubble bar.
The shower essentials are housed in a reusable tin, which the fresh, handmade cosmetics company suggest could be ‘used to keep your spare change, notes from loved ones, or any other item you have around the house’.

Which other brands may release beauty eggs in 2024?
With Easter still being a little over a month away, there’s still time for retailers to announce their seasonal gift sets. However, since they often sell out well in advance, we’d recommend bagging the one you want sooner rather than later, or face disappointment when it’s no longer available to buy.
Last year, there were a couple of other retailers who launched beauty eggs, and we could potentially see them release something for 2024, too.
Last year, health and beauty retailer Boots revealed their Little Luxuries beauty egg, which contained almost £200 worth of products for £55. The high street chain has been prolific in their beauty box launches over the past 12 months, regularly selling them out in a matter of days, so we’ll be surprised if they don’t have one up their sleeves for March.
Boots shoppers were also able to get their hands on a free Easter egg from MAC Cosmetics last year. Worth around £45, the limited edition gift was a gift-with-purchase when you spent £60 on MAC at Boots, which is a deal we’d love to see return.
And lastly, we also saw a wellness egg from MyVitamins, packed with hair gummies, collagen shots and more for £19.99, though it’s not been confirmed whether they’ll launch one in 2024.
Which is the best beauty egg for 2024?
Well that all very much depends on personal preference. If you’re someone who adores an everything bath and queues up in the shopping centre on Boxing Day for their half-price sale, then Lush is going to be an obvious choice, while those who enjoy boujee bathing might opt for Rituals or L’Occitane.
For us, though, we love a money-saving choice, and it’s Lookfantastic and Glossybox offering the biggest value for money Easter options this year, with the latter worth four times the price you pay. Meanwhile, Lookfantastic’s saves the largest amount of money, with customers saving £146 on the RRP, compared to £127 on Glossybox – now that has to be better than chocolate.
Both of them sold out within weeks of launching last year, and we can expect the same to happen this year. That said, Boots’ box has some of the most tempting brands and is still very affordable compared to the savings you make – so do make sure to take a look through the contents lists to see which one you’ll get the most use from.
