A body has been found as part of a police search for a missing woman.

Thames Police have been conducting an ‘extensive’ investigation to try and find Faustina, aged 47, since she left the Horton area on Friday (June 27).

However, sadly on Monday (July 1) officers found a body in the water off the B376 in Wraysbury.

Formal identification has not taken place but officers believe this to be Faustina. Her family have been made aware and are being supported by officers at this time.

Detective Inspector Liam Butler, based at Maidenhead Police Station, said: “Extensive enquiries have been ongoing for Faustina since she was reported missing, and very sadly, a body has been located today.

“Although formal identification has not yet taken place, we believe this to be Faustina. A file will be prepared for the coroner. Our thoughts remain with Faustina’s family at this difficult time.”

“We would like to thank Berkshire Lowland Search and Rescue for the support they have provided in our search for Faustina. We also extend our thanks to members of the public who provided support.”

Due to the closeness of the search to Surrey, police in Runnymede and Spelthorne had shared the appeal.
