Two men are in hospital following a shooting near Victoria Park last night (October 27). Police, paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance were called to St Stephen’s Road, in Bow, at around 9.20pm following reports of gunfire.
A man in his 20s was discovered on the residential street, and rushed to a major trauma centre. The Metropolitan Police say his injuries are neither life-changing or life-threatening.
A second man, also aged in his 20s, later self-presented at hospital with gunshot injuries. He too is in a stable condition.
No one has been arrested in connection so far, and specialist detectives have now been assigned to the investigation. Witnesses, or anyone with information, are urged to come forward as soon as possible.
Witnesses say a cordon remains in place at the junction of St Stephen’s Road and Old Ford Road this morning.
