Two teenagers have been rushed to hospital with serious stab wounds after being stabbed in central London in the middle-of-the night (Tuesday August 12). No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.

Police rushed to reports of a stabbing on Bloomsbury Way, Holborn, at around 2.06am this morning, where two boys, 16 and 17, were found with serious stab injuries.

They were treated at the scene before being rushed to a “major trauma centre” as a priority. A London Air Ambulance also attended the scene.

Their injuries were then assessed as non life-threatening at hospital. Police say their enquiries are ongoing, with no arrests yet made.

The road remains closed from New Oxford Street to Southampton Place. There is congestion to Shaftesbury Avenue which is diverting past the British Museum, reports traffic monitoring service, Inrix.
