The sun drenched beach resort where Brits can a pint for only £1 has been named the cheapest place for a family holiday,
According to the annual Post Office Travel Money Family Holiday Report, bargain hunters will find the lowest resort prices in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. The Black Sea resort beat other popular destinations to the top spot, including Marmaris, which was last year’s best value destination.
Jamie Segal is one Brit who recently flew out to Sunny Beach with a group of mates to enjoy the sunshine, rides and cheap alcohol on offer in the resort. The West Ham fan asked “how are they even making money out of this?” while tucking into a £1.50 pint of beer.
Dani Dimitrova also went to check out Sunny Beach and was amazed by how much she managed to buy for just £22, including a delicious looking poke bowl, a large sun-bed at a beach party, an iced latte, a chocolatey Nutella snack and fruit, and much besides.

Whilst perhaps not the first European coastal destination that comes to your head, Sunny Beach is a great location for families wanting to travel this summer whilst also not spending that much. Featuring long stretches of golden sand and crystal blue water, as well as numerous eating establishments, bars and clubs, Sunny Beach is a perfect family retreat or party holiday.
With the average cup of coffee costing £3.40 in the UK, without the frills of milk alternatives and syrups, Sunny Beach’s average coffee price of £1.38 seems like a dream. Coffee isn’t the only cheap beverage; Brits love the the bargain pints in the resort costing only £1, five times less than the price of the average pint in the UK (£5.17).
Wine lovers are not left out of the bargain prices either, with a glass costing £2.76 on average, around £2 cheaper than in the UK. For the little ones, a can or bottle of coke would cost £1.61 or a bottle of water would set you back a mere 69p.
One essential for warm weather holidays is suncream, which will cost you around £9.67 in Sunny Beach. To avoid bug bites, you may also want to invest in some insect repellent which would set you back around £4.37.
It isn’t just beverages that are cheap, in general the resort also offers appealing food prices. For two children, you could get pizza for £8.29 and for a two-course lunch for two adults, you would only spend around £20.25.

If feeding the whole family, then a three-course meal including drinks would only set you back just under £60.
TUI has many holidays still available for the remainder of the year, to Sunny Beach, with the cheapest deal costing £318 per person, for a seven night, all inclusive stay.
The beach resort has a wealth of activities to offer families including live music, sports venues, the nearby historic site of Nessebar, two water parks with a third in construction and many competitions, fashion shows and festivals.
The average temperature throughout June is 23 C, with July and August both having an average temperature of 26 C. Whilst the destination is slightly cooler in September (21 C), it is still nice and warm and offers a good time to get some slightly cheaper prices compared to peak summer.
