Cat Deeley’s best This Morning outfits you can shop from River Island, M&S, Mango and more

Since being made one of the main presenters of This Morning back in March, Cat Deeley has been a frequent face on our TV screens in recent weeks. And if there’s one thing The Mirror’s fashion and beauty team already can’t get enough of, it’s her on-screen outfits.

The 47-year-old is no stranger to designer brands, but since becoming Ben Shephard ’s co-host, she’s often opted for a mix of affordable and investment high-street picks from brands, as well as rewearing items from her personal collection, including her much loved Balmain vintage boots.

With David O’Brien as her stylist, the duo have leaned into trends like quiet luxury, rich girl cardigans and cowboy core, with some definite 70s inspiration in a number of her outfits. He shared some of the brands he often chooses for the presenter with Grazia Daily, commenting: “Hush, Boden and Mint Velvet are all great quality, as well as more affordable high street favourites such as Zara, River Island and Mango.”

Cat regularly sports classy, elegant outfits boasting clean lines and tailoring – and these are some of our favourite that you can still shop from the show.

River Island Ballet Flats

Cat Deeley is usually known for her vintage-inspired outfits, usually leaning into 70s styles with flared jeans and boho dresses . However, one of her latest looks tips its hat (or shall I say dips its toe?) into a 90s footwear trend, which is perfect for the summer months.

Ballet flats were originally a key wardrobe staple in the 90s, back when the 47-year-old was presenting Hitlist and SMTV Live. But a pair sported by the mum-of–two takes a much more modern approach to the trend, which is in keeping with Cat’s timeless wardrobe. In May, she wore a pair of Cream Cut Out Lace Up Ballet Pumps, from River Island, which come in at £50.

The shoes boast a design that sits somewhere between a ballet flat and a sandal, so it’s perfect if you’re not quite sold on the ballet flat trend just yet. Cat’s love of elevated fashion is evident in the shoe’s attention to detail, with a pretty scalloped edge and delicate floral detailing.

Rather than a round toe like most ballet flats, River Island’s offer a pointed toe which elongates the legs, while the ankle strap and lace up design add extra interest and make them a little bit different to more traditional styles. Just don’t forget to suncream your feet before you wear them, or you could end up with some rather unusual tan lines.

Mango Striped Shirt

We’re loving all of the British brands Cat Deeley is shining a light on during her This Morning hosting gig. We’ve seen her wear trendy fits from the likes of Reiss and River Island, and now she’s debuting a shirt from Victoria Beckham’s new high-street collaboration with Mango.

Wearing the striped shirt with cut-out, Cat looked incredibly cool in the blue shirt paired with a maxi denim skirt. The top will set you back £90 – which is good considering the price points of VB’s own brand – but if you want to get the look for less, you can shop a similar style in French Connection’s Alissa Stripe Cropped Shirt, £45 here.

The 47-year-old also wore the Raey Split-back organic cotton-blend denim maxi skirt, which is currently on sale at Matches. Made from 100 per cent cotton, the blue maxi denim skirt features a raw edge and a back slit for a ‘relaxed finish’, with a close-fit waist that moves into a straight-fit leg for a feminine silhouette and somewhat vintage vibe – something Cat is well known for with her wardrobe.

Reiss Khaki Jumpsuit

Cat’s timeless style means the key pieces she wears rarely go out of style, and this Reiss utility style number is a shining example. The 47-year-old wore the premium fashion brand’s Liliana Lyocell Wide Leg Jumpsuit for an episode in May. The khaki ensemble is the ultimate ‘throw on and go’ piece, meaning you don’t have to worry if your top goes with your trousers.

The outfit is said to ‘drape down the body’ with a flattering wide leg finish and relaxed, shirt-style top which blousons slightly at the middle. It features functional chest and side pockets for a cargo style, and is belted at the waist for a personalised and cinched look.

Cat wore the sleeves of her jumpsuit rolled up slightly, nodding to the week’s warmer weather, accessorising the look with a vintage brown belt and gold sandals. However, the chic jumpsuit isn’t the cheapest, and will set shoppers back £248.

Mint Velvet Lace Dress

If you’re a bride-to-be, Cat’s White Floral Lace Mini Dress from Mint Velvet is perfect for engagement parties, hen dos, honeymoons and more. The statement dress is part of Mint Velvet’s new Studio collection, which is made up of ‘head turning’ pieces, boasting premium finishes and strong silhouettes, which aligns perfectly with Cat’s signature on-screen style.

The floral mini dress comes in at £199, boasting three-quarter length fluted sleeves and applique trim, while the mini hemline showed off Cat’s pins. But we couldn’t help but think there was something very ‘bride-to-be’ about it.

With its romantic silhouette and crisp hue, this mini dress would be perfect for anyone looking to glam up for their engagement or hen party. Equally, for those thinking about the big day, it’s a gorgeous pick for a London registry wedding, or as a second evening look for your reception so you can dance the night away.

Mint Velvet Co-Ord

Is Cat Deeley wearing waistcoats because they’re bang on trend, or are waistcoats now ‘in’ because Cat Deeley can’t stop wearing them? Either way, we’re here for it, and her Mint Velvet co-ord is perfect for any special occasions you might have coming up.

Styled by David O’Brien, her ensemble consisted of a Gold Wrap Longline Waistcoat and matching Gold Satin Pleated Wide Trousers, which cost £139 each from the brand’s new Studio Collection. Both the waistcoat and the trousers are available in sizes 6-18, but to help you find your ideal fit, the trousers are also available in short, regular and long, ideal for petite and tall shoppers.

The waistcoat offers an elongating longline silhouette with peaked lapels, flap pockets and a belted tie fastening that accentuates the waist. Meanwhile the wide-leg trousers are in a flattering high waist cut with pleated front detailing for a glamorous look.

And while they make for an undeniably show stopping outfit, what we love about co-ords is that you get at least three outfits out of them when you buy it. It does also mean that if you don’t fancy paying the full £278 that it would cost to replicate the look, you could opt for one of the two pieces and style them with items already in your wardrobe.

Finery Elle Cable Knit Jumper

For the chillier spring weather, Cat swapped out her sleeveless waistcoats and t-shirts for a cable knit jumper that you can pick up for under £40 at Marks and Spencer. The Finery London Elle Cable Knit Jumper is priced at a purse-friendly £39, and can be styled with a range of outfits depending on the occasion.

The presenter wore the stone version of the jumper, paired with some shimmery dark coloured jeans – but the sweater is also available in grey and navy if you prefer cooler tones. Despite its affordable price tag, the jumper is made from a blend of 60 per cent cotton, alongside other materials like acrylic, nylon and merino wool, which makes it ideal for keeping warm, but remaining lightweight and breathable.

It’s designed in a comfy regular fit, with a round neck and casual raglan sleeves featuring ‘plenty of feminine volume’, and the cable-knit pattern means that the second summer is over, you can pull it straight back out for autumn and winter, too.

The jumper can be paired with skirts, jeans, or dresses, which allows it to be dressed up or down for a range of occasions. We love the idea of styling the knit with a satin midaxi skirt of the same shade, or pairing with jeans and a white shirt, then wearing the jumper draped over the shoulders for a chic outfit.

Jigsaw hopsack tatton waistcoat

Another fit of Cat’s we loved was the ultra-chic Jigsaw Hopsack Tatton Waistcoat. Its longline, relaxed fit means it’s perfect for all types of spring occasions. From a day at the races to spring or summer weddings or even a romantic date night, it’s a great versatile pick to add to your wardrobe that you can come back to time and time again.

The waistcoat is the perfect alternative to a traditional blazer, giving you a cooler, breezier way of looking smart and chic for when the weather warms up. It has a tie belt that cinches in your waist and helps define your silhouette and add structure, or you can leave it untied or remove it for more casual occasions.

It also has a classic blazer silhouette with double-breasted horn buttons and a relaxed, oversized fit, which means it can be worn on its own as a top or over the top of a dress or blouse as an extra layer.

River Island gold high rise slim straight fit jeans

Returning to the ITV daytime show after Easter on Monday, April 15, the mum-of-two wore a pair of River Island Gold High Rise Slim Straight Fit Jeans, which come in at £65. Metallic jeans were hugely popular over Christmas, with Frankie Bridge sporting a silver pair from Bershka – and this champagne-toned pair could be the perfect way to transition the trend into the spring and summer months.

The high street denim trousers are described as ‘not quite skinny, but not quite straight’, hailed as the ‘perfect in-between fit’ by the brand, which could be the ultimate compromise for those born after the millennium, compared to the skin-tight silhouettes early 90s kids have grown accustomed to.

Coming in a flattering high waisted design, the jeans are crafted from Comfort Stretch denim, so they might feel snug at first, but the more you wear them, the more comfortable they become. What really sets these apart though is that they’re subtle but still make a big impact, while styles like these Crackle Faux Leather Straight Trousers from Warehouse bring a little more drama.

So if you fancy adding some metallics into your spring wardrobe, you can shop Cat’s River Island jeans here.

Mint Velvet khaki asymmetric waistcoat

Ticking all of the trend boxes for spring, Cat stunned in a cool khaki waistcoat and matching trousers from Mint Velvet.

Waistcoats are really in fashion at the moment, and they’re more versatile than you might think. You can wear them with loose jeans and trainers for a casual look, or with matching trousers and smart shoes like Cat did.

The waistcoat Cat wore has a cool asymmetric design and a single button fastening. It also has a V-neckline that’s just the right size so you can wear something underneath if you want to – like a white t-shirt – but it’s not too low if you prefer not to.

The outfit looked really smart but also relaxed, with the trousers from her suit offering tailored details like waist pleats, a front crease and a cuffed hem. But the cargo-style pocket details and loose fit stop them from looking too formal, so you can pair them with a fitted blouse or an oversized T-shirt.

You can choose from three different lengths in the cargo trousers, with petite, regular and long lengths available. They’re also available in sizes 6-18 in each length, so you can find the right fit for you.

River Island black floral puff sleeve swing mini dress

While Cat regularly opts for higher end outfits over £100, she looked as glam as ever in a River Island Black Floral Puff Sleeve Swing Mini Dress, priced at a purse-friendly £45. The black dress boasted a white floral design that makes it perfect for summer, with on trend puff sleeves that add volume.

The mini dress also features a tie waist detail to flatter a range of body shapes, with little crystal-like details at the end of the tie, which makes it look even more expensive.

This holiday-ready number will look fabulous with a pair of sliders, or chunkier sandals, dressed up with coloured heels and a matching bag for an evening event, or with white trainers and a raffia bag for a more laid back look.

And if you love the design but the length isn’t for you, then it also comes in a midi length for £50. If you’d like to get Cat’s look, you can shop her exact River Island dress here.

Mango satin flowy finish shirt

This Mango shirt is of Cat’s most affordable pieces to date, which, despite looking every bit luxurious, comes with a surprisingly affordable price tag of under £30.

The champagne coloured blouse offers a flowing silhouette and textured fabric in a satin finish, complete with a classic collar and long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. Available in sizes 6-14, it’s a versatile piece that can easily transition from office wear to evening chic.

The mum-of-two paired the premium-looking blouse with the Sezane Madelyn Skirt in Black, priced at £150. The midi-length straight skirt features a side slit and a close-fitting silhouette, offering a flattering yet sophisticated look.

Cat’s creamy satin blouse is a timeless wardrobe staple and comes in cheaper than some of the others we’ve seen online, like this Alma satin lace blouse which is £55 from Monsoon, or the Neutral Silk Shirt from Mint Velvet, coming in just under £140.

You can shop Cat Deeley’s satin blouse for under £30 here on the Mango website.

& Other Stories scalloped lace blouse

One piece we’re desperate to add to our wardrobes is the Scalloped Lace Blouse from high street retailer & Other Stories. This lace blouse is perfect for the new spring season, with a ruffle trim and a relaxed fit, making it great for warmer weather.

Made from 100% Ramie, a material similar to linen that comes from nettle plants, it’s a more sustainable choice that’s better for the environment. The linen-like fabric also means it’s lightweight and breathable, so you can wear it all year round, even in the summer heat, while the ruffled detailing is a subtle nod to the Texan trend we’re seeing dominate the high street, thanks to Beyonce.

The blouse comes in at £125, but it’s actually £5 cheaper via H&M, and while it’s more of an investment piece, it’s the type of top that lends itself to any occasion, paired with with jeans and sandals for a chilled weekend look, or steal Cat’s look with white jeans and a tan leather belt.

You can currently shop it in all sizes from XS-L here or on the H&M website. The blouse also comes in black if you prefer a darker colour palette.

River Island high waisted tummy hold flare jeans

If you’re looking for a flattering alternative to skinny jeans, Cat’s got you covered with River Island’s popular High Waisted Tummy Hold Flare Jeans , which she styled with the Nele Shirt in Rosewood from Sezane.

They come in four easy-to-wear colours including grey, dark, mid and light blue washes, and to ensure shoppers can find their ideal fit, come in sizes 6-18 with three lengths to choose from – short, regular and long.

The £48 jeans have a high waist with tummy control to give the perfect hourglass figure, and are made in a comfort stretch denim made from 91 per cent cotton, which means they might feel snug at first, but the more you wear them, the more comfortable they become.

Sézane silk Maxence shirt and Rome shorts

Silk and satin shirts are a mainstay in Cat’s wardrobe and while she usually opts for neutral tones, she ditched them in favour of a splash of colour, channelling Parisian chic in blue blouse and high-waisted shorts combo from the Kate Middleton-loved French brand, Sézane.

The mum-of-two wore the 100% silk Maxence Shirt, which costs £130, alongside the brand’s Rome Shorts (£100). The electric blue blouse features a classic collar and patch chest pockets with buttons down the front, which Cat had done just over half way up for a relaxed look. Sézane suggests the fit is oversized, so you might want to size down depending on how you want it to look.

Meanwhile, the shorts offer a flattering high waist and quilted pleats at the front, complete with a thick belt that cinches the waist and complemented Cat’s slim frame. These are such a gorgeous elevated option for spring with a light cardigan, but would work equally well in winter with tights and a chunky knit.

If you want to get Cat’s look, you can shop her shirt and shorts on the Sézane website here.

Boden Holly knitted jacket

Cat is a master of the quiet luxury trend, and this ‘rich girl cardigan’ is no exception. The exact knit she styled was the Holly Knitted Jacket, from celeb-loved brand Boden, and features a white body with navy stripes – a chic alternative to black – complete with gold button detailing and pockets.

Made from 100 per cent cotton, it’s quite a premium piece, coming in at £130 – but fashion fans who bought it have raved about the jacket, even snapping it up in multiple colours while comparing it to high end designers.

The knit also comes in a range of on-trend colours, including navy with red detailing, pink with black detailing, and mustard. You can steal Cat Deeley’s style with this Boden jacket here.

& Other Stories tweed belted mini dress

For her official debut, Cat wore the Tweed Belted Mini Dress from & Other Stories, which comes in at £135. Reminiscent of designers like Chanel or Karl Lagerfeld, it’s a gorgeous a-line number with short sleeves, round neck and flattering belted waist which makes for an elegant design.

She paired the mini dress with a pair of neutral court shoes, wearing her dark blonde locks in a bouncy blow out, really leaning into the popular old money aesthetic that the presenter is no stranger to.

Effortlessly chic with a classic silhouette, fashion fans can buy Cat’s & Other Stories dress here for £135.

Other celebrities we’re forever turning to for fashion inspiration include Rochelle Humes, Holly Willoughby, and of course, we’ve got our notifications turned on for Frankie Bridge’s weekly faves round up, too. But if you want to keep a close eye on Cat’s fits, be sure to bookmark this page to stay updated with her most recent looks.
