Now if you’re an avid collector, do you have any of these coins lurking in your possession? According to TikTok user @CoinCollectingWizard, one unique design can flog for an eye-watering £130,000. In a recent video, he shared four coins to “make you millions”.
Posting to his 152,000 followers, the @CoinCollectingWizard said: “Check out these coins, they can make you millions.” Speaking about the 1935 Crown, he added: “Look for the raised edge around the sides of these coins, it’s what makes it real.”
He went on: “It’s easy to identify a 1935 Grazed Edge Crown because the rim comes out. This one’s worth £700.” He then detailed the 1983 New Pence which could be worth £1,500. It’s considered rare due to a specific transition in the design of the coin.
“In 1983 the Royal Mint began the process of changing the inscription from New Pence to Two Pence,” he revealed. “If you find this rare coin, you are looking at £1,500.”
He then spoke about the 1933 One Penny which is highly sought-after by collectors and its scarcity contributes to its market value. If you happen to have it, he claimed: “Then you are 100% rich and it could sell for over £130,000.”
Lastly, the user said the Aquatics 50p coin from the London 2012 Olympics collection can earn you £2,000 if you sell. He concluded: “A handful of this original design was put into circulation, but it was then adapted quickly to show the face underwater, with so few of the design out there, it means the coin’s value has pushed up significantly.”
Since he shared his knowledge, the video quickly racked up over 450 shares and dozens of comments. One said: “Buying it very soon,” while another admitted: “I’ve got a New Pence 1983.”
