Croydon pair accused of attempted murder in ‘shotgun attack’ named by Met Police

Two men have been accused of attempted murder following an alleged shotgun attack in New Addington, Croydon on May 21.

Armed police were called to Walsh Crescent shortly before 7.30pm to multiple reports of shots being fired.

A man aged in his 30s was found with gunshot wounds and rushed to hospital where his injuries were assessed as neither life-threatening or life-changing.

Anthony Dasousa, 30, of Station Approach, Coulsdon, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life on Wednesday, June 4.

Tevin Nzita, 29, of Warbank Crescent, Croydon, was charged with the same offences on Thursday, June 5.

Both had been arrested by detectives a day before being charged.

Dasousa appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on June 4 and Nzita appeared at the same court on June 5.
