A crime scene has been set up near Costco in Croydon following reports of a ‘shooting’ yesterday evening (June 19). A number of police officers were spotted outside the superstore on Imperial Way from around 7pm.
Pictures taken at the scene also show several ambulances surrounded by a huge crowd. Eyewitnesses say a forensics tent and cordon is now in place just off Purley Way.
Imperial Way itself is blocked off to traffic. Costco remains open but the carpark adjacent to it is closed.
The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service have been contacted for more information.
