A man from Dagenham raped and beat a woman after she rejected his sexual advances. To escape from her attacker the woman jumped from a ground floor window onto the street to escape.
Oladip Oshodi, 48, made sexual advances towards the woman he knew at his house in Mayesbrook, Dagenham. The woman stated clearly that he did not want to have sex with him, but during that night Oshodi raped her twice.
Not only did Oshodi rape the woman but her beat her which she managed to escape by jumping out of the window. When she made it to the road she collapsed and was carried to safety by concerned people walking in the street.

The police were called and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Oshodi was arrested the day after in July and has been in custody ever since.
PC Kayleigh Grafton, who is a specialist officer dealing with victims of sexual offences, said: “The survivor in this case was fleeing for her life when she jumped onto the street to escape this man.
“I hope that the sentence handed down encourages other women who have been the victim of sexual offences to come forward. We are here to support you and our mission is to keep you safe and support you every step of the way.”
Oshodi appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday, July 5, where he was sentenced to 25 years in jail for two counts of rape, administering a noxious substance, threats to kill, grievous bodily harm and controlling coercive behaviour.
