Vanessa Bauer has set her sights on the glitterball. The Dancing On Ice professional expressed her desire to join Strictly Come Dancing.

At 28, the ice-skating pro is ready to ditch the rink for the ballroom and compete in the beloved BBC One dance contest.

She told The Sun: “I would love to do Strictly. I think it’s time for a Dancing on Ice pro to be a celebrity on Strictly Come Dancing.”

She added cheekily: “We’ve had enough ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pros being a celebrity on ‘Dancing on Ice’ and I think it’s time to switch the world.”

In other news, Vanessa’s personal life has taken a turn as it emerged that she’s single again following a split from her partner of nine months, Dan Underwood.

The decision to part ways was mutual, it is claimed, with both parties finding their packed timetables too challenging to juggle a relationship.

A source close to the pair shared with The Sun: “Vanessa and Dan are still on good terms and are friends, but their job takes them to different parts of the world and they have struggled with the distance.

“They realised they better off as friends for now, but still have a lot of love and respect for each other. Vanessa is busy with her career and is focusing on herself and her acting right now.”
