Dr Rajiv Parti was a top anesthesiologist who said being a doctor afforded him a lavish lifestyle of big houses and fast cars but his life ‘completely changed’ after a near-death experience
A doctor who disregarded patients’ claims of near-death experiences says his life was “completely changed” – after visiting the afterlife himself.
Dr Rajiv Parti was a chief anesthesiologist at the Bakersfield Heart Hospital and he has shared the terrifying and beautiful things he witnessed while on the operating table. His heart stopped after complications from prostate cancer surgery in 2008 when he was 51. He claimed to see himself in emergency surgery before going to see his sister and mother at their New Delhi home in India.
Near-death experiences are nothing new and only recently, a surgeon revealed he was convinced there was life after death after what he experienced.
And, speaking on his YouTube channel about what happened next, Dr Parti said: “I heard screams of pain and anguish. I was drawn in, as if on a moving pavement, to the edge of a flaming canyon. Smoke filled my nostrils, and with it the sickening odour of burning flesh. I knew then that I was on the lip of hell.”
He claimed a voice chastised him for his “materialistic” life and the Hindu man remembered begging God for forgiveness before he saw his father.
Things then became much more idyllic, as near-death experiences author John Burke later revealed. Speaking to Nicholas John on YouTube, he said: “Then these two angels, that he said (Dr Parti) were angels from the bible (Michael and Raphael), which really confused him, take him through this tunnel like portal to this place of exquisite beauty and the presence of this God of light who is love.”
John added: “And Rajiv in the presence of God has a life review, and in the life review he sees the way, and this is typically how this life review goes, and it varies by unique individual, but usually, in the presence of God, they relive their entire lives in a 3D panoramic replay right before them.”
This is when people’s version of time is supposedly transformed, and giving some insight, John explained: “That’s exactly what near-death experiencers say, they say, I don’t know if it was seconds or hours or days, time doesn’t work the same way on the other side.
“Some of them say there was no time, or time stopped, but others say there was time, because things happened and things changed but you always had all the time you needed. And someone would say, well, it is past, present and future all at the same time.”
As for the life review, people are supposedly shown that every act of kindness mattered, and they see how it impacted the other person and subsequently God then outlines the ripple effect from life to life.
However, the person also reportedly has to witness all the troubling moments in their life where they may not have acted kindly.
As for Dr Parti’s experience, John continued: “Rajiv is a Hindu and yet, the same God of light, same life review, and at another point, he later asks this God of light, ‘Who are you Lord?’
“Out of the light steps a man in a robe with a gold sash and a beard and he says to him, ‘I’m Jesus, your saviour.’
“Again, we are talking chief anesthesiologist – so it changed his life completely. And he was very confused by it but what I like to point out is that God has always been the God of all nations.”
After being saved from an early death, Dr Parti told the doctors what he saw, and like how he used to do to patients, his story was dismissed.
He said he was shaken by the experience, and questioned why he spent so much of his life chasing better houses and better cars.
He resigned from Bakersfield, sold his cars and mansion, before writing a book called Dying to Wake Up: A Doctor’s Voyage Into the Afterlife and the Wisdom He Brought Back.
