To mark Women’s Health Week (11th–17th May), South London’s Dr Amina Adeniran is launching an ambitious new clinic and café to champion the wellbeing of women aged 50 and beyond.
An NHS GP and founder of The Super-Skin Clinic, Dr Adeniran is unveiling London’s first Skin Café exclusively for women in midlife and older — a nurturing setting focused on community, education, and skin health.
The idea took root during a life-altering period in Dr Adeniran’s life. In 2019, while pregnant and working full-time, she was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. Defying the odds, she chose to continue her pregnancy while undergoing brain surgery during and shortly after giving birth.
“It was the darkest chapter of my life,” said Dr Adeniran. “But surviving it gave me a new purpose, to celebrate ageing and resilience, especially in women who are so often forgotten by mainstream beauty and healthcare.”
Now finalising her Level 7 Aesthetic Medicine qualification, Dr Adeniran is blending her clinical knowledge with holistic care through this pioneering venture.
At its core is the Super-Skin Café, a supportive space where women over 45 can receive professional skincare guidance, form lasting friendships, and attend a variety of wellness sessions.
“Too many women over 50 feel invisible. The Skin Café is where they come to feel seen, heard, and celebrated,” said Dr Adeniran. “It’s a safe space for sharing stories, sipping herbal teas, and accessing everything from skincare to hormone advice in one empowering hub.”
Workshops, drop-ins, and collaborative events are a key feature, with an expert team that includes HRT specialists, nutritionists, psychologists, and mindfulness practitioners.
Alongside the café, the Super-Skin Clinic delivers custom treatments for mature skin, including microneedling, peels, pigmentation correction, and intimate rejuvenation, supported by medical-grade skincare specifically designed for ageing skin.
“I believe beauty is survival made visible,” Dr Adeniran added. “My mission is to honour the warrior within every ageing woman — not just with treatments, but with compassion, dignity and community.”
Her dedication to empowering older women through health and beauty has earned her the 2025 Rose Global Recognition Award, celebrating innovation and leadership in women’s wellness.
