Doechii has cancelled her performances at All Points East festival in Victoria Park, London, and her slot at Forwards Festival in Bristol just days before the Bank Holiday weekend.

The news was shared with near-identical announcements from the Instagram accounts of the respective festivals, much to fans’ dismay.

“Unfortunately, Doechii will no longer be able to perform at All Points East on Saturday, August 23rd. We’d like to apologise to disappointed fans and hope to welcome Doechii to All Points East in the future.”

The festival added in the caption: “We’re very sorry to announce that Doechii will no longer be performing at her upcoming shows. She is an incredible artist, and, like all of her fans, we were hugely excited to see her on stage. All Points East has an amazing line-up, including RAYE, Tyla, JADE, Jyoty, Nao, and many more, and it’s set to be a truly unforgettable day.”

The Grammy award winner, who recently graced the cover of Vogue magazine and was lauded for her short 45-minute Glastonbury Festival performance on the West Holts Stage, was due to play Bristol’s Forwards Festival on Sunday, August 24th.

Fans replied to the post on the All Points East Instagram, asking, “Who will be replacing her spot?”

Another added: “Lol not even a replacement. Just “oh well, there you go.”

While others were more positive and added, “I vote Chappell Roan replacement please.”

While on the Forwards Festival social, one fan added, “The only reason I’m going, can I get a refund?”

Then another added: “Still an absolutely BANGING line up – can’t wait for both days.”

The rapper has shot to even bigger stardom since her bookings at the festivals, and notably opted not to screen her especially short Glastonbury performance on the BBC.

This made her slot underneath Raye, and near special guests, Tyla, and Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix fame, underneath All Points East headliners all the more notable.

The US star has also cancelled her appearance at the French festival, Rock En Seine, with the festival posting a similar statement to Forwards and All Points East.

Her next tour date is the All Things Go Festival in Columbia, MD, which is scheduled for September 25th and hasn’t been cancelled at the time of writing.

Doechii shot to fame with her tracks ‘What It Is’ and ‘Anxiety,’ which samples Gotye’s famous ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ backing track.

All Points East have been approached for further comment.
