A DoorDash driver has shared the harsh note a customer attached to their order demanding no-contact delivery – as people say the customer went too far with her request
A food delivery driver has shared the ‘disgusting’ note a customer attached to her order as he reminds people to ‘spread kindness, not hate’. The DoorDash driver, who works in America, explained how their customer selected no-contact delivery, which prompts drivers to leave orders on the doorstep rather than handing them to customers directly.
However, rather than selecting this option and leaving it at that, the woman wrote a note to her driver, making sure her preference was recognised. It read: “Leave at my door. I have a dog and a newborn… so DO NOT knock on door.
“By sending the photo and hitting done notifies me plenty. If you haven’t figured that out yet, quit and find a new job. It’s simple common sense. Place food not directly in front of door. Door can’t open if food is blocking. Defeats purpose.
“In the nicest way possible… if this is a hard concept to follow… go to Indeed.com and start again.” While most users sympathised with the woman who is under a great deal of stress while raising a newborn, they agreed that does not justify talking to someone like this.

One person commented: “Sometimes I want to scream at DoorDash drivers too but they’re human as well. It gets so aggravating when some people don’t use common sense. If I get to this point, like in the screenshot above, there’s no point in ordering. Who’s going to tolerate that?” Another user added: “Just be nice. Everyone. From the beginning. This goes for all situations. Period.”
A third user said: “Some people are so mean and bitter within. Just because they had a bad experience with someone doesn’t mean everyone is mentally challenged and should be insulted for no reason. But you get what you give so if this is the energy that person puts out to all Shoppers they will probably continue to attract people that will actually block their door with groceries.
“Maybe they should just accept their delivery upon arrival. Sometimes it’s the person creating the order and giving their idiotic instructions. Either way that is just a reflection of how they are treated at their place of work. It’s no one else’s fault they are bitter and miserable.
“The babies and the dog and wax appoint have nothing to do with the delivery process. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. So maybe they should change their delivery preferences rather than expose their ugly side. We don’t get paid for what they see in the mirror.”
