The renowned shoe brand Dr Martens has not yet launched its Black Friday deals – but here’s what we predict for its sale
With Black Friday just around the corner (November 28), some of our favourite high street stores have begun dropping deals to get the mass sales event kickstarted early. While many retailers have launched their early Black Friday offerings, for those of us who want to bag themselves a bargain on a pair of Dr Martens boots, we’re still waiting for the brand’s big sale to drop.
Now, we don’t have much doubt that it’ll be any day now, following suit of a lot of high street shops, but until the popular footwear brand does unleash its discounts, we can only dream of what’ll be included. Of course, we have the last few years to go off when it comes to what to expect. And if 2024 is anything to go by, Dr Martens fans are certainly in for a treat.

What to expect from Dr Martens’ 2025 Black Friday sale
Basing our predictions on Dr Martens’ 2024 Black Friday sale, we’re expecting to see reductions of at least up to 50%. Last year, the brand reduced some of its best-selling styles reduced by over £70, such as its 1461 Iced Suede Shoes, which retail at £119. Since the Black Friday sale, they’ve entered the brand’s outlet and currently have 50% off on its cream hue, making them £59.

Shoppers who can’t wait for the brand’s Black Friday sales to drop can make us of its outlet page, where the likes of its Dr Martens 1460 Smooth Leather Lace Up Boots are on sale for £110, rather than their usual £159
As previously mentioned, Dr Martens has an outlet sale section of its website where shoppers can bag themselves a pretty nifty deal year round – perfect for those who can’t quite wait for the Black Friday discounts to drop. Currently on sale is the brand’s iconic and classic 1460 Smooth Leather Lace Up Boots.
As the brand’s original design, these boots have become synonymous with Dr Martens in look and feature its signature styles – the unmistakable 8-eyelets, yellow welt stitching, scripted heel loop, unique sole tread, to name a few. Its wide, rounded toe shape and grooved, air-cushioned sole ensure the shoes remain comfortable for years to come.
Now £110, the boots usually retail at £159 and come in four different colours. Although this deal is specific to the burgundy hue. With over 11,000 reviews, the boots have been praised for their durable quality, with one five star shopping raving: “Such a gorgeous boot. Yes you need to break them in but they’re going to last. You get the quality you paid for.”
“Very comfy and warm. Best boots ever,” remarked another. Although some people found them diffcult to break in, others had no issues at all.
Fans of sliders can get on board this offer which sees Dr Martens’ ‘laid back and low-slung’ Jorge II mules reduced by £39. Usually £130, the shoes are now £91, and are a great option for those days where you need something easy to slip on and off. The shoes come with an adjustable buckle and Ripstop ankle strap for ease of application, while the footbed is fitted with suede-covered foam for extra comfort. Naturally, the grooved Shore sole is air-cushioned and is finished with the brand’s classic yellow welt stitching.
With a five star rating across the board, the only slight gripe one shopper had with them was that they were initially quite ‘stiff’, although the most part, they were praised for their ‘perfect fit’ and ‘excellent quality’.
Those wanting to make a bit of a statement can get their hands on the Jetta Platform Boots for £94 instead of their usual £189. Coming in white, the boots feature a bold front-facing zip with a leather pull tab and have been built with ‘buttery Classic Pull Up leather’. Fitted with antique gold hardware, the shoes are stacked highwith a chunky commando tread for maximum drama.
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is a mass shopping event that sees retailers dropping the price of a large portion of their products and will fall on November 28 this year. It is the term coined to describe the chaos ensued as shops launch huge discounts. Traditionally, this event signifies the start of the Christmas shopping period but in recent years, it has begun weeks before this date. For example, today marks the start of Abbott Lyon’s sale, which sees up to 35% off jewellery pieces with the code BLACK35, as well as shoppers snagging two pieces for the price of one with the code 2FOR1.
For those looking to get some new pyjamas, Boux Avenue has just launched its Black Friday sale. Shoppers wanting to get their hands on new nightwear or lingerie can now save up to 20% off. For example, its £40 Striped Christmas pyjamas in a bag are now £32. More offers can be found at White Stuff, Nobody’s Child and Schuh.
The Black Friday event, which this year lands on November 28, typically ends on the following Monday, normally known as Cyber Monday.
