In a recent video on TikTok, user @master_driver666, who boasts 760,300 followers on the platform, shared a recent clip to show the common blunder. She’s known for delighting online fans with useful motoring hacks.
She captioned the short 8-second clip: “Wrong ways to shorten car life by 10 years.” She then demonstrated how to properly park your car using the handbrake and gears. It shows the “wrong” way, followed by the “correct” method.
Since it was shared, the post racked up over 300 likes and dozens of comments. One said: “Thanks for that.” While another asked: “What is the difference between?” Meanwhile this isn’t the first time she delighted motorists online.
Just recently, drivers were only just discovering a little-known car key hack which takes seconds. In a video online, the woman can be seen struggling to open her car door with her electronic keys.
But when she realises it’s not letting her in, she finds a little slot underneath and opens it with her key, this allows you to manually enter the car. And in just seconds, you don’t need to go scrambling looking for new batteries, or call your local garage to get you in.
All you need to do is find the slot to enter your key and there you have it. Then on another occasion, motorists were only just discovering three little-known car buttons to transform drives forever. She showed the buttons you must activate when buying a new car.
It includes a door lock function and the glass lift switch which you’ll need to do immediately. She concluded: “Third, put into reverse gear, turn the rearview mirror adjustment to R, adjust the rear view mirror, find the location of the rear tyre.”
