Knowing your road signs is a fundamental part of being a driver.

It’s something you learn for your theory test and should remember every day as a motorist. However, it’s only human to forget some key details when behind the wheel. Having said that, it’s always vital to remember what each sign means as it could lead to dangerous situations otherwise.

Now a TikTok user, known as @EnglishWithRiyadh, who has an impressive following of 500,200 on the platform, took to the app to remind viewers of some common road signs they may have forgotten. He captioned the video: “Using the correct road signs is crucial for maintaining safety and order on the roads.

“They provide essential information, warnings and guidance to drivers, helping prevent accidents and ensuring smooth traffic flow. Proper road signs reduce confusion, aid in navigation and enforce traffic laws, contributing to the overall efficiency of transportation systems.

“Misuse or absence of correct signs can lead to accidents, traffic congestion and legal issues, highlighting their indispensable role in road safety.”

The clip begins with him showing the white arrow on a blue background traffic sign. The TikTok user explained: “This traffic sign is called one way.” He then moves on to demonstrate the No Entry sign before showing the clear signage instructing motorists to stop at a junction.

After posting a clip earlier this month showing a black arrow with a red line across it which means ‘No Straight Ahead’ followed by the ‘No Vehicle in Both Directions’ sign, the video racked up 2,600 likes and a flurry of shares.
