Tech giant Dyson has unveiled a new desk fan just in time for the summer heat. The Cool CF1 desk fan, retailing at £249.99, comes with a nifty sleep mode feature, perfect for those who struggle to nod off during balmy nights.

Promising to cool you down in five seconds, Dyson’s Cool CF1 desk fan is designed to deliver a quiet breeze even on full blast, ensuring it won’t disrupt your workday. The bladeless design not only ensures a smooth airflow but also makes it a safe choice for households with children or pets, unlike traditional bladed fans that could pose a risk.

It also features a night mode function, emitting ‘whisper-quiet’ air to keep you cool without disturbing your slumber, reports the Daily Record. According to Dyson, the fan offers a range of oscillation angles and manual tilt, delivering a steady 370 litres of air per second without any ‘choppy air’.

Its minimalist design also makes cleaning a breeze – simply wipe the loop amplifier with a cloth, no need to wrestle with grilles or dusty blades. Dyson’s Cool CF1 desk fan sits at the pricier end of the market, which might deter some potential buyers

However, there are more budget-friendly alternatives out there. For instance, the Russell Hobbs Bladeless Tower desk fan is available at a more wallet-friendly £29.99.

Elsewhere, Pro Breeze is a big name when it comes to fans. Its Desktop Mini Tower Fan is 13-inches and costs £28.04 at Amazon (slashed from £34.99). It has three speed settings, a swing feature for max coverage, and a near-silent wind mode.

As Dyson’s Cool CF1 desk fan is a new release there are no reviews available for the product. However, potential shoppers can find many general reviews of Dyson’s customer service on Trustpilot.

One person said: “Had reason to speak to Dyson customer support today as problem with cordless vacuum, spoke to very helpful chap called Arris, who resolved my issue in a matter of minutes and arranged for replacement part under warranty.”

They continued: Working in customer service myself, we can all take a leaf out of this guy’s book. Top class service, no fuss, just sorted the problem.”

A second reviewer added: “I love my Dyson, but the customer service was disappointing. My next-day delivery never arrived, and I wasn’t informed or apologised to. A quick glance at reviews shows this seems to be a common issue.”

A third stated: “Fantastic products and the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Worth every penny.”
