A GCSE Maths paper had students partying online after a very gentle cruise into exam season today (Thursday, May 15) – for many, it was “lightwork”. Students got so lucky that one even said they had “over half an hour left”.
Many immediately headed online to express their post-exam euphoria. Students from across the country took to X, Reddit and TikTok, celebrating.
One Redditor couldn’t believe their luck, exclaiming ”HOLY S*** I COOOKED”. Other grateful students wished well upon their examiners – with one student expressing on X, “god bless Edexcel for that maths paper omg”.
As well as blessing and praising their examiners, students reflected that the paper generously blessed them with enough time to even “check through”. This must have been unexpected for GCSE students who spend months in training to answer tough questions against the clock.
Some were even left with enough energy after the exam to get creative on TikTok. One expressed their “mood after that beautiful paper” with a dance, writing “Grade boundaries gonna be through the roof but WE MOVE” followed by several fire emojis. Another student posted a series of Zac Efron reaction photos and wrote ‘me after I cooked maths paper 1’, while a third copied a pose of a person breaking free from metal chains.
However, clearly the verdict on this year’s GCSE maths paper was not unanimous across the board. One Reddit user wrote ”IT WAS SO BAD BRO I LEGIT LEFT CRYING”.
