German Police confiscate football from England fans
England fans were left deflated when one German policeman confiscated their ball when they had an impromptu kickabout ahead of the Three Lions’ semi final showdown.
The footy lovers were having good time with a £25 replica of the Euro 2024 football ahead of the semi-finals against the Netherlands. The match follows the Lion’s dramatic penalty win against Switzerland last week.
Brits have flocked over to Germany en masse, with many finding their way to a square filled with bars, just a 10-minute drive from BVB Stadion Dortmund, where the game will kick off at 8pm. However, those dreaming of being added to Gareth Southgate’s reserve list by showing off their skills were in for a shock.
A german killjoy cop confiscated their ball. But as a squadron of uniformed men cut the crowds, they were subjected to the Brits’ infamous chanting. A now-viral video taken by a fan taking shade from the sun shows foot fans repeating: “We want our ball,” over and over again. The 60-second video was recorded at the Napoli bar and restaurant in the heart of the square.
Yesterday, England supporters were slammed after targeting a German woman with dwarfism in one of their chants. In a video of the woman dancing in the street, a group of lads can be heard chanting “Dusseldwarf, Dusseldwarf, Dusseldwarfffff.” Despite the awkwardness of the situation, the woman managed a smile and even joined in with the fans when one beckoned her to dance.

Many viewers criticised the disrespectful name-calling, with one branding it ‘brutal’. Another sarcastically commented: “You’re hard.” However, others dismissed the complaints, simply labelling it ‘banter’. “England fans don’t miss with chants,” said Liam Craven. Another agreed, stating: “English banter is unmatched.”
Fans are now calling for an official bank holiday if England is successful in tonight’s match against the Netherlands, so they can attend the final without having to book annual leave. Whoever wins tonight will play against Spain on July 14.
