An ‘entitled’ bride has left people stunned after creating a group chat of friends she didn’t invite to her wedding, offering updates and ‘exclusive pictures’ of her big day

A bride has left people amazed by her audacity after creating a group chat comprised of those left off the guest list.

One of her stunned acquaintances has explained that she initially had no issue whatsoever with not making the cut, along with others that she knew, completely understanding that everyone has different circles of friends and family they want as part of their special day.

And so, after the bride, who she describes as ‘super enthusiastic’ sort of individual, announced her engagement on social media – ‘with a lot of aplomb’ – she didn’t take offence when an invite didn’t arrive. Instead, she and others who wouldn’t be there on the big day sent her their warm congratulations via text message or over the phone.

As far as she was concerned, they wouldn’t hear anything more until the wedding photos were shared online. Little did she know that the bride had something a little more unusual in store…

All of a sudden, around two to three weeks before the wedding, approximately 20 to 30 people were added to a baffling group chat entitled ‘<Bride’s name> wedding shenanigans’. None of the group members had received an invite.

Taking to Reddit, the flabbergasted almost wedding guest recalled: “I am a little perplexed since I haven’t been invited. Not even an e-invite has been sent. Side chats are happening on why are we in this group etc. and then half an hour later the bride starts texting about how much she loves all of us in the group and how important we are to her and thus she wants us to get updates about her wedding on the chat. Exclusive pictures for all events would be posted here since many people asked. The way I laughed at the audacity!!”

She continued: “I stayed on that group for 24 hours out of courtesy and then just quietly exited the chat. I didn’t want to remain for the drama or the absolutely entitled worldview of the bride. Nothing comes close to this level of bizarreness for me.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, this aghast individual wasn’t the only one to find the bride’s behaviour utterly bewildering. One Reddit user commented: “She seriously thought this group of friends, not those friends who were close enough to receive an invite, were waiting on pins and needles for wedding info? You all couldn’t stop thinking of her and her upcoming wedding and the bride felt that she’d throw you peasants a few wedding crumbs in the hope you’d be just dying to send her a gift and fawn over her beauty as a bride. Talk about main character syndrome!”

Another added: “Brides and grooms really over estimate how important their wedding is to other people.”
