A woman has shared her story of karmic retribution on social media after an entitled mother kept parking in her front yard and ruining the grass – but the universe had other ideas

If you happen to live in an area near a school, you’ll know just how annoying it is when parents wait for their little darlings outside your home. While most are polite and try to minimise disruption for you, others don’t see the problem in letting the engine run as they sit in their cars blocking you in or out.

One woman has revealed how she got sweet revenge on an entitled mother who kept parking in her front yard and ruining the grass. Sharing her story of karmic retribution on social media, she explained that her family had recently moved for her husband’s job.

She went on: “The children are at three different schools, but all three schools use the intersection kitty-corner from our house. My younger two go to primary school here, which is kindergarten through second grade. Since the kids are so young many parents walk their kids down but some have recently started driving two blocks from their house to the bus stop.”

The mum was left fuming after repeatedly spotting another parent parking her Jeep on the grass outside her home while picking up kids from school. She recounted, “I didn’t make a big deal about it the first few times, but after a week straight of rain her Jeep made huge muddy tire tracks in our grass, I’m talking four-inch deep huge marks where it was nearly stuck. She had to back up to get out after 5 mins of letting the tires spin.”, reports the Mirror US.

The next day, she confronted the rogue parker: “The following day I walked up to her Jeep and knocked on her window. I kindly asked her to not park on our grass anymore, especially when the ground was so wet, and pointed to the large tire marks. She gave me a really snotty look and rolled her window up. I don’t like confrontation so I was sort of relieved when the following day (a Friday) she parked somewhere else.”

But the relief was short-lived as the mum described the return of the unwelcome visitor: “Monday afternoon rolls around and I looked out my window as she is pulling up and see her look to my front porch (where I normally sit to wait for my kids). When she didn’t see me sitting there, she peeled into my grass, into the same tire marks as before and digs them in another 2-3 inches with mud flying everywhere.”

“I was beyond livid but I knew this wasn’t going to go anywhere if I tried talking to her again. So I made a beautiful professional-looking sign and hung it up. The sign says ‘please do NOT park on our grass’ and ‘smile you’re on camera’. So we don’t have a camera that points that way but we do have a ring doorbell that doesn’t even point that way but she didn’t know that.”

The homeowner, chuffed with her crafty signage, enjoyed a peaceful two weeks without any parking mishaps. But as fate would have it, the rain and snow soon wrecked the sign, and the cheeky mum was back to her old ways, reclaiming her unofficial spot.

Karma seemed to be in the air when, just as the entitled mum buckled her child into the car and prepared to drive off, a police car arrived and issued her a ticket for parking too close to a stop sign. The homeowner insisted: “Right after she got her kid in the car and went to take off, a police cruiser pulled up and cited her for parking too close to a stop sign. No, I didn’t call them!! It was all completely coincidental.”

Reddit users were thrilled by the story of poetic justice and chimed in with suggestions to prevent future parking transgressions. One user suggested: “Sounds like it’s time to put up a small white picket fence that’s reinforced with iron. I’ve seen people put huge stones along the edge of their grass to stop people like this.”

Another added their two cents: “I’d get her plate number and put in a police report anyway. She clearly is doing it on purpose and destroying private property. Also, invest in a fence and get a new sign that won’t get damaged easily.”
