A woman has reached her wits’ end with her ‘entitled’ neighbours who keep blocking her driveway with their two cars, leaving their own driveway completely empty all day long

A woman has slammed her “entitled” neighbours who keep blocking her driveway, making it almost impossible for her to leave her house in the car.

She explained how she lives in a small and quiet cul-de-sac and each house has its own driveway for at least two vehicles. But despite this, her neighbours insist on parking on the road, right outside the opening to her driveway, blocking it completely.

She said on Reddit: “The road is narrow so if you have cars coming from opposite directions, one will have to pull off to let the other pass because there’s not room for both. That being said, we have a two-car garage and an accommodating driveway.

“My neighbors have a massive four-car driveway with a wrap-around and could easily fit six cars in the driveway itself without hanging into the road. They have two cars and park them in the garage at night.

“However, during the day they insist on parking in the road right in front of our driveway.” She went on to explain how her friend accidentally backed into their car trying to leave her driveway – but yet they still didn’t move it.

Seeking advice, she asked: “What would you do? How would you approach this? Am I just being an a**? Their driveway is empty 98% of the time and they park on the road every single day. They never leave their cars in the driveway, they’re always either in the garage or blocking our driveway.

“We have a van and if they’re parked there it’s hard to get out of our driveway without hitting them or our curb. I’m so tired of it, there’s no reason for them to park in the road with their massive driveway. I don’t know if it’s legal or if there’s anything I can do about it, you’d think they would stop parking there after getting hit but no.

“If they absolutely need to park in the road it would be just fine for them to park in front of the house next to theirs because it’s vacant.” Commenting on her post, one user said: “Look up your county’s or town’s code enforcement for any information on street parking.

Another user added: “Ask them not to block your driveway, if they continue, call a tow truck. A third user said: “Why aren’t you asking law enforcement? Take a photo and go down to admin between 8-4. Ask them!”
