A woman has slammed her neighbour for stealing her rubbish bin – and explained how she got revenge on her after returning it in a less than satisfactory condition

A woman has been praised for taking revenge on her ‘entitled’ neighbour who stole her rubbish bin. She explained how she has lived on her street for two years without any issues – but that all changed when a new neighbour moved in.

She said on Reddit: “Some people who live around us are… well, not very considerate. They gone through my mail, let their children run rampant outside, going into any yard they please, occasionally dropping a bag of garbage into our can or recycling bin.”

However, her neighbour took things to a new level when they stole her rubbish bin and started using it as their own.

She added: “Trash day here was Friday. Since it was gone when I went out that evening, I assumed my mum grabbed it (she lives with me). Whatever.

“Fast forward to today. I’m finally feeling better after having a nasty flu all weekend. Good enough to clean my house a little bit. I gathered all the trash… you can see where this is going….

“The can was gone? I creepily prowl the neighborhood, checking cans. Then, I stop in front of the house with the annoying yappy dogs and kids. I have this feeling – seeing the garbage can across the yard.”

She knocked on the door a few times but there was no answer. With that, she decided to put a note through their letterbox asking them to kindly return her rubbish bin, noting how it’s “clearly marked”.

She added: “Later tonight, it’s back! Yay! Just one problem…. It’s full. To the brim. These a******s filled it all the way up with cleaning their yard (tons and tons of kids toys and dog toys), as well as plenty of other things.

“Cue me f*****g fuming. Well, it’s been about 20 minutes since I gingerly dumped the can over, sorted the recycling out to my own recycling bin, and then tossed the trash into their yard.

“Thanks for my belonging, now take care of yours! Why are people?”

Commenting on her post, one user said: “Should’ve dumped so much more than their stuff on their lawn.”

Another user added: “APPLAUSE! APPLAUSE! APPLAUSE! Congrats on a brilliant job well done!”

A third user said: “This has happened to me too. Crazy Dave across the road pinched my dustbin when his went walkies.

“I didn’t speak to him about it but went on a mission impossible style heist to get it back. He was at my door 20 mins later shouting and screaming. Crazy dustbin Dave!”
