A new David Lloyd leisure centre, complete with a sauna, pool and gym, is set to open in South West London this winter. David Lloyd has now released the exact date their new centre in Colliers Wood will be opening its doors.

The new leisure centre will offer “premium facilities” including a 100+ station gym, indoor heated pool, luxury spa retreat, and kids facilities. Their spa will have a Himalayan salt sauna, crystal steam room, cold plunge pool, hydro pool, heated beds, a fire and ice room and ice cave and experience shower.

A spokesperson for the leisure centre posted to Instagram: “The news is out! We’re officially opening our doors to the new Club on Thursday 27th November. We can’t wait to meet those of you who are already members and say a warm hello in person and show you around your beautiful new Club.”

There will also be a range of different classes, such as cycling, HIIT and yoga. Children will be able to take part in after school and holiday clubs, as well as swimming coaching and an on-site creche.

It is expected that the new development, in the Merton Abbey area of Colliers Wood, will bring more than 60 new jobs to the area. Work first began on the project in January 2025, with its finish highly-anticipated with residents in the area.

Chris Wilkinson, General Manager at David Lloyd Colliers Wood, said: “As we approach the final countdown, we will be focussed on recruiting local talent for a wide range of roles here at David Lloyd Colliers Wood, as well as connecting with our neighbours and community groups. We look forward to welcoming people to our Club’s marketing suite over the coming months, and to sharing our new Club with members in November.”

Memberships can be purchase on the David Lloyd website.
