‘Extreme concern’ for missing Kingston man as police search River Thames

Police are extremely concerned about a missing Kingston man last seen a week ago. Following the disappearance of Scott Thompson on Monday, April 15, officers are searching Thames Ditton Reach slipway this afternoon (Monday, April 22).

The 62-year-old was last seen driving away from his address in Surbiton shortly before 1am. Scott’s car is a dark grey Ford KA with the number plate MT06 BYF.

Police have no direct information that Scott has entered the Thames but are following up CCTV enquiries. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Superintendent Ian Cameron said: “We are very concerned for Scott’s welfare and its extremely important that we find him. If you have any information at all about Scott’s whereabouts, or see anyone matching Scott’s appearance, please call 999 quoting reference ‘Op Steele.”
